Dr. Randall Haynes, a native of Miamisburg, Ohio, is currently a freelance performer and instructor in Asheville, NC. He has degrees from The Florida State University (D.M.), the University of Florida (M.M.) and Wright State University (B.M.). Dr. Haynes also attended the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. His primary teachers include Bryan Goff, Christopher Moore, Joyce Davis, Karl Sievers, William Adam, Alan Siebert and David Coleman.
As a soloist, Haynes has performed throughout the United States. Accomplishments include solo performances with various symphony orchestras and concert bands. He placed third in the National Trumpet Competition in 1999 and was a semi-finalist each year from 1998-2002 in the same contest. Dr. Haynes was the first prize winner of the Lima (Ohio) Symphony Young Artist Competition in 1999 and placed first in the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs Student Audition Competition in 1996. He currently performs with the Westville Brass Quintet, Land of the Sky Symphonic Band and substitutes in the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Haynes has held several orchestral posts including the Long Bay Symphony, the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Panama City Pops, Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast, Central Florida Symphony, Central Florida Philharmonic, Southwest Florida Symphony, Middletown Symphony and Springfield Symphony.
Dr. Haynes has held positions at Gulf Coast State College, Chipola College and the University of South Alabama. An active clinician he has worked extensively with college, high school and middle school music programs. He is currently available for:

Randall performs on Yamaha Chicago B flat and C trumpets, Courtois flugelhorn, Yamaha and Scherzer piccolo trumpets (both with Blackburn leadpipes), and Schilke D/E flat trumpet. He plays exclusively Pickett Brass mouthpieces.
